My name is Meghan Hancock and I am a senior at Lovejoy High School. My Senior Project is the planning and organization of the 3rd Annual Wiffleball Tournament that is hosted by the LHS Softball team. The tournament is January 8th, this Saturday. The tournament is for 6th grade and older. It would be great to have parents form teams and enter the tournament. I know there are some middle school and high school kids that would love to have the chance to beat... I mean, play some of their parents! So please encourage your kids to form a team or get one together with adults and students alike. Even if you do not want to play I would like to give everyone a chance to donate to the tournament or even come out and watch.
I have attached the Donation Form and the Entry Form that includes information about the tournament. I would greatly appreciate any support, as all proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Thank you, Meghan Hancock Wiffleball Tournament Entry Form.docx Wiffleball Tournament Donation Form.docx |

Girl Scout Troop 1105, based at Hart Elementary in Lucas, hosted their second annual Raingutter Regatta earlier this month. To enter the regatta competition, local Girl Scouts designed and built individual regatta boats from balsa wood. During the event, girls raced their boats down long aluminum rain gutter chutes by blowing the sails of their boats. The event was held in the Hart Elementary Cafeteria and over 45 girls entered the competition this year. Trophies were awarded for first, second and third place finishers in each division, and medals were awarded for “Best of Show.” |
