All parents are invited to attend our special presentation of 2 Million Minutes on
Tuesday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the LHS auditorium. This 54 minute long video demonstrates how 3 sets of students from different parts of the world will spend their 2 Million Minutes. The premise and title of the series focuses our attention on the fact that each student has 2 million minutes from the time they finish 8th grade until they graduate from high school.

This introspective video will help you examine the difference in our school system and the other 2 featured in the video—India and China. It can open your eyes to choices we allow our children to make during this crucial time in their lives. Which country places a stronger emphasis on sports? How much freedom does a child have in choosing what they study? Do the classes that each student takes have an affect on his or her economic earning potential? Of the 3 school systems featured, how many go to school 6 days a week? Plan now to join us for this thought provoking evening.

Cost is $5 per adult and is free to Lovejoy Gifted Association members. 8th grade students at SCMS and all high school students will be shown the video as well.
