Lovejoy Chess Students Win in Denton over Spring Break PDF Print E-mail

During Spring Break, Marcus Mao and Leo Dobson competed in the Denton Spring Scholastic Chess Championships.  Leo Dobson moved up to a higher level to help Marcus make a Lovejoy Elementary Chess Team, and together the 4th graders won the 1st Place Team trophy!  Congratuations Marcus and Leo!  

Sloan Creek Middle School (Jake Larimer and Jacob Dobson) won the 2nd Place Team Trophy!  Lovejoy ISD also had participants from Hart Elementary (John-Michael Estes) and Puster Elementary (Nick Pitkin and Cedric Mattli).

About This Site

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.

Lovejoy is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and residents of all ages. This is a web site by and for our community. There are so many good things happening in this community on a daily basis that we had to dedicate a whole web site to showcase them.
