To accommodate our Teachers, Parents and Community, we decide to provide donor opportunities at each campus.  American Red Cross Donor buses will be set up in front of the main entrance parking lots at each campus during their scheduled date and time.

The campus with the most designated Donors will be presented with a specially designed “Lovejoy ISD Give Life Challenge” solid walnut Perpetual Trophy.  It will be engraved with the winning campus’s name and year, to be proudly displayed at your campus until next years challenge when they will have to defend their championship. Donors do not have to give at the campus they wish to donate for. Schedule your donation at the most convenient location, date and time, and then simply vote for the campus you wish to donate for at the time of your donation.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Donors simply go to the American Red Cross website www.givelife.org and use the sponsor code lovejoycampus to make an appointment.

Student's Guide to Blood Donation

NOTE: Any Lovejoy students eligible to donate are also required to provide written parental consent prior to or at the time of their donation.  I conducted an interest survey at LHS during which time 41 students signed up and were given parental consent forms to complete.  Several have returned their signed forms but still need to sign up on line. We have great giveaways, T-shirts, caps, food coupons and more, to say “Thank You” to those students who come out to roll up their sleeve to “Give Life”.

For additional information on Donating Blood, Student Donors, Eligibility Criteria, etc., please go to the American Red Cross website www.givelife.org .

Thank you for your support!

Respectfully,

Mike Wilson

About This Site

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.

Lovejoy is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and residents of all ages. This is a web site by and for our community. There are so many good things happening in this community on a daily basis that we had to dedicate a whole web site to showcase them.

We hope this web site will be a source of inspiration, and we invite all of you to share the love that is Lovejoy!
