TAKS results came out today for the State of Texas.  The TEA released their results on the TEA website: http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/perfreport/account/2009/index.html.  Excluding charter schools, only 85 districts in the entire state were rated as exemplary accounting for 8.3% of the state\'s districts. Campus ratings for the State of Texas include 2,151 campuses that were rated exemplary.  All of Lovejoy ISD\'s campuses were among those top rated campuses. As for school type, 1,824 elementary schools were ranked exemplary, along with 148 middle schools, and 135 high schools. As sited in the Dallas Morning News tables, out of the 31 area school districts, only Lovejoy ISD, Highland Park ISD, and Carroll ISD had exemplary ratings at each campus and therefore declared an exemplary district.

Congratulations to the administrators and teachers of the district for holding high standards for achievement in the district.  Congratulations also to the students of Lovejoy for using the knowledge they gain everyday in the classroom to show the State of Texas what a great importance we put on academics.
