If approved by the voters, the .02 cent tax increase will bring in $420,000 annual to the district.  Of that $420,000 only $280,000 will come from local tax payers and the state will add an additional $140,000 as an incentive.  The $420,000 would continue to be part of the budget for M&O (Maintenance and Operations) from here forward. 
Early voting for the Tax Ratification Election will continue from 8-5 through Friday in the Red Building. Election Day is next Tuesday 7-7 with voting in the Lovejoy Gym.

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.

Lovejoy is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and residents of all ages. This is a web site by and for our community. There are so many good things happening in this community on a daily basis that we had to dedicate a whole web site to showcase them.
