Good morning, Lovejoy Families,

A special thanks to you who were able to attend our first ever kindergarten sneak peek and our 3rd Grade “Leopard Spot Restaurant.”  Both were well attended by our Lovejoy families and community members.    We appreciate your continuous support and know that along with your partnership, we are able to offer the best experiences for our Leopards.  Thanks!

Thanks Go Out to Our Student Council

Each year, our student council earns money through their fundraising efforts to purchase something for the betterment of our school.  You may recall seeing concrete/steel benches outside the library and on the front porch and have most likely, noticed the murals in the entryway.  These items were all funded by our Lovejoy Student Council.  This year, our Student Council has selected to purchase a nice personalized tablecloth to be used in special ceremonies.

Last week for Kidzscience and Abrakadoodle

This upcoming week will be our last week for our Kidzscience and Abrakadoodle sessions.  You may recall in my last week’s e-mail that this past Monday was the last day for the Chess Club.

Early Release and School <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Holiday

A reminder that Monday, May 31st is a school holiday.  We hope you have big plans with your family.  Also, Friday, June 4th, we do have a 12:00 release for all elementary students.

From The Nurse

If your child has medicine at school, please make sure your child has exactly enough medicine to finish the school year.  You are responsible for picking up any extra medicine as the school has a policy against sending medicines with students.

At the end of this school year, any remaining medicines, including inhalers, that have not been picked up will be thrown out.  The school cannot store these for you during the summer.

Please remember, if your child is going to continue being medicated at school during the 2010-2011 school year, you will need to have a new medication sheet filled out.

Thank you,

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.

Lovejoy is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and residents of all ages. This is a web site by and for our community. There are so many good things happening in this community on a daily basis that we had to dedicate a whole web site to showcase them.
