Lovejoy High School Parents and Friends,

This weeks announcements:

LHS Choir LEGACY Pop Show

As Journey says, "Anyway you want it, that's the way you need it," and the high demand for tickets has let us know that you need more opportunities to see the LHS Choir Pop Show!  The show will now be performed on two nights: Thursday, May 20th and Friday, May 21st, both at 7:00 pm (6:30 Live Pre-Show) in the LHS Auditorium.  General admission tickets are currently on sale at the LHS School Store for $3.

Senior Signing Day , Friday , May 21 3:00 pm- Leopard Gymnasium- All Are Invited !

When and Where is Senior Signing Day: Friday, MAY 21, 2010; 3:00 PM- 4:05 PM; LHS Main Gym

What is Senior Signing Day: Senior Signing Day will be a day of celebration where all of our seniors have the opportunity to unveil their selected college or career  and accepted scholarships to LHS students and community. Each senior will be given the opportunity to say where they were accepted, scholarship dollars offered, and the college or career they have chosen to take the next step in the Fall of 2010.

What is the agenda for Senior Signing Day: Dr. Goddard will emcee the event. Each student will announce his or her own information, a representative from the outside organization may be present, for picture purposes, but due to time constraints Dr. Goddard will announce all scholarships related to LISD (booster clubs) or ones the student does not know they are receiving.

For example: I am Jeannie Walls. I was accepted at Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and the University of Georgia. I was offered 18,000 in scholarships plus received the Grayson Collin Electric Scholarship for a 1,000. I have decided to go to Texas Tech University. (Which at that time I would roll out my Texas Tech flag.)

Why are we having Senior Signing Day: The event has two functions.... first to honor the seniors but also to inspire and expose the 9-11 grade students to all the colleges and scholarship opportunities.
