Hello SCMS Families,
As many of you are aware, Gavan Goodrich was named the new principal at Lovejoy High School last night.  This is an excellent opportunity for Gavan, Lovejoy High School, and the LISD community.  As you may also be aware, I am currently serving as interim principal and I intend to apply to be the next principal at Sloan Creek Middle School.
During this interim period, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding the transition or any other matters.  I am extremely excited about this opportunity and look forward to continuing our work together.  It is such an honor and a blessing to work with your children on a daily basis.   I hope everyone has a safe and restful summer.
FYI--I will be out of the office next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (June 7-9)  at a leadership retreat and June 14 - 15, but will be checking my email and voice mail regularly .  Also, please feel free to call me on my cell phone at 214-293-9938 should you need to reach me at anytime.

About This Site

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.

Lovejoy is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and residents of all ages. This is a web site by and for our community. There are so many good things happening in this community on a daily basis that we had to dedicate a whole web site to showcase them.
