Dear Parents and Guardians,

As you may be aware, I will be moving over to Lovejoy High School on Monday.  Kent Messer has been named the interim principal at Sloan Creek. I am very humbled by the opportunity to be the High School Principal. Mike Goddard has left the high school in great shape and ready to take the next step of its development. I look forward to working with parents and students to make the graduate profile a reality for the Lovejoy students.

I see this position as a chance to fulfill a dream of mine, which is to leave a legacy: continuing the development of a school that is second to none. I believe in working hard, paying attention to the details, and providing students with great experiences which will developmentally support them to be the best they can be.

I am looking forward to taking on this responsibility and doing the best job possible for the young men and women of Lovejoy.

A note to departing 8th grade parents.  I met with your students today and told them that I will be returning to Lovejoy High School with them next school year.  I assured them that they will have a great freshman year, and  I told them that my door is always open to them.  I will miss Sloan Creek, but look forward to a great experience at Lovejoy High School.
