Yearbooks On Sale (Limited Supply Available)

Online pre-ordering for yearbooks through Jostens is no longer available.  Once the books arrive and pre-orders are distributed, yearbooks may be purchased on a first come, first served basis.  Yearbooks will be available for purchase in the school bookstore for $50.00 beginning on Tuesday, June 1 for seventh and sixth graders. 

Books will also be available for purchase for 8th graders only DURING the 8th grade yearbook signing party on Friday, May 28. Orders will NOT be taken until that time. Checks should be made payable to SCMS.

School Store News

It is that time of year again to place pre-orders for your high school planner and class t-shirt for the 2010-2011 school year.  Please print out the attached order form for your 8th grader that will attend LHS in the Fall 2010 and return the completed form along with payment to the LHS Store by Thursday, May 13th.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Donna Rea or Julie Puckett at 469-742-8723.

Beginning Monday, May 17^th, students with a negative balance in their lunch account will no longer be able to charge to their account (they will be offered an alternate meal).

Lovejoy Leopard Football Program

This fall, the Lovejoy Leopards will play Varsity Football for the 3rd year.  We had such a great season for 2009 and we are so excited about the 2010 season and would like to invite you to be a part of it.  The theme this year is "FINISH IT!".  Our first home game will be September 3rd, 2010.  It is time once again time to start selling ads for the program which will be sold at all 6 home games.  Attached please find the form to purchase a business ad and/or business membership.

Lovejoy ISD Immunization Clinic for Children

May 20, 2010 at 3:30 PM—5:30 PM in the Sloan Creek Middle School Nurse Office. The Collin County Health Department Staff will provide childhood immunizations in partnership with the Lovejoy ISD Nurses. All childhood immunizations required for children attending Texas Schools will be available.

The fees for immunizations are $14 or less per shot, free and reduced fees are also available. This is an excellent opportunity to update your child’s immunizations prior to the 2010-2011 school year.

Please remember there are new requirements for all students entering Kindergarten and Seventh grade. Contact your campus nurse for questions. See attached flyer.

Lovejoy Country Run and Pancake Breakfast May 15

Register by TUESDAY for lower entry fee!

Deadlines are approaching fast!  The discounted entry fee is available only until Tuesday, May 11. On-line registration is available for the 4th annual Lovejoy Country Run and Pancake Breakfast.  Register at www.LukesLocker.com for early registration fee of $25 for adults and $15 for students through Tuesday, May 11 at 6 p.m.  Prices go up by $5 after May 11.  Event to be held rain or shine.  The price includes a pancake breakfast, T-shirt, and electronic chip timing (5K only). Enjoy the live music of "Beat Red" while kids enjoy bounce houses and face painting by Karen Karnuta.  Race brochures are available at all LISD school offices.  Proceeds equally benefit all 13 Lovejoy athletic booster clubs. Contest Between LHS and SCMS

The Lovejoy Country Run committee will award a trophy to the school with the highest percentage of student registrants. Chose the 5K race, 1K fun run, or both!

The Office of Child Care Services is very excited to announce Summer Enrichment 2010. We are offering a variety of camps for students ages 3 through 6^th grade and art camps for teens. 2010 Lovejoy Athletic Summer Camps - REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

Lovejoy offers sports camps for Baseball, Girls & Boys Basketball, Football, Girls & Boys Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Volleyball and Wrestling.   Register before May 1 to get the early registration discount.  We also offer sibling discounts.

Lacrosse Summer Camp for Beginners

Leopard Lacrosse is hosting summer camps for beginners.  You will learn the basics of the sport, learn stick skills and participate in drills.  Head Coach Wang, along with Asst. Coach Max Bevan will lead the camps.

Dates: For Middle School Students - June 7 - 10 @ SCMS from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. For 3^rd/4^th/5^th Grade Students  - June 14 – 17 @ SCMS from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Cost is $90 and each camper will receive a stick. Go to www.leopardlacrosse.net to register.

Summer Tennis Lessons

Once again, Tennis Lessons will be offered this Summer at Lovejoy High School! Classes are designed for all age groups.
