Hart fifth grader, Sarah Wallaert, was saddened when her pet guinea pig, Michelle passed away.  When her mother said that she could get a new guinea pig, they turned to the Texas Rustler Guinea Pig Rescue organization to help to find a new pet.  When Sarah was there, she learned about the organization.  She met Ms. Julia and discovered that all of the expenses of the organization are covered by the members.  That’s when Sarah became inspired to do something to help the guinea pigs that did not have a home.  Along with Carol Immel, Sarah developed an idea to create bottle cap necklaces and sell them to raise money for this organization.  On Friday, February 26th, Sarah sold these necklaces at Hart.  From this sale, Sarah raised over $350 to donate to Texas Rustler Guinea Pig Rescue.  Sarah has a true heart of service

About This Site

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.

Lovejoy is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and residents of all ages. This is a web site by and for our community. There are so many good things happening in this community on a daily basis that we had to dedicate a whole web site to showcase them.

We hope this web site will be a source of inspiration, and we invite all of you to share the love that is Lovejoy!
