A group of second grade students from Hart Elementary hosted a Lemonade Stand on Friday, November 6th.  Jacob Leirer, Grace Nguyen, Bailey Peck, Landry Webb and Cade Muizers presented the idea of hosting the Lemonade Stand to benefit “Hoops for Heart” to Kathy Foster, principal of Hart Elementary.  “Hoops for Heart” helps people with heart disease through the American Heart Association.  After their idea was approved, they hung posters to advertise the sale and sent notes home with all Hart students.  On the day of the sale, they were joined by Lily McCutcheon, Hailey Atchley, Morgan Oden, Blake Rasmussen, and Jacob Lax.  The kids worked hard to make the lemonade, deliver it to classrooms and sell it to parents after Hart Beat.  They sold almost 200 cups of lemonade that day!!!  The second grade students were excited to present $100 to Mrs. Foster after the sale.  A huge thank you goes to all of the students, parents and teachers who supported the Lemonade Stand.

About This Site

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.

Lovejoy is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and residents of all ages. This is a web site by and for our community. There are so many good things happening in this community on a daily basis that we had to dedicate a whole web site to showcase them.

We hope this web site will be a source of inspiration, and we invite all of you to share the love that is Lovejoy!
