The Texas State Chess Championship was held in Dallas the weekend of February 20^th. Over 1000 participants form all over Texas showed up for the competition. Three students at Hart participated, and all three students placed! Hart fifth grader, Zoe Wang, participated in the Elementary JV category and received a 7^th Place Trophy.  Zoe was recognized for winning every game that she played! Also, Hart fifth grader, John Michael Estes, participated in the Elementary Novice category and received the Positive Score award and tied in 34^th place. Third grader, Andrew Cannon, competed in the Primary JV category, and received a trophy honoring him for 14^th place. We are proud of these three students and their accomplishments!
