On Friday, May 14th, our incoming Lovejoy Kindergarteners and their parents were invited to a “Sneak Peek” of what’s in store for them next year. Over forty children and their parents came to learn about all what Lovejoy has to offer. While parents attended an information session with Principal, Mrs. Jackson, the children had the opportunity to meet each of the Kindergarten teachers, as they rotated from classroom to classroom to participate in some of the activities that they will experience next year. During their rotations, they enjoyed participating in an activity, had a chance to mingle with some new friends, and had a snack! We can’t wait to welcome our new Leopards!

Third graders at Lovejoy Elementary School are doing something besides taking tests and studying this week. The students are celebrating the grand opening of their first restaurant called “The Leopard Spot Café” and are giving back to the community by donating their proceeds to some area non-profit organizations.

Parents and members of the Lovejoy ISD community have been invited to be the first customers of the café where students are showcasing all the skills they have learned in their subject areas this year. The students have filled out employment applications, finished job interviews and completed training to become managers, wait staff, kitchen help, host staff, cashiers and bus help.
