Kindergarteners have recently studied the art and stories of author Eric Carle. He is well known for stories such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Very Grouchy Ladybug. Children have loved his books for over 40 years and many of his books have never gone out of print. His vivid illustrations and use of textures make his artwork instantly recognizable. The students here at Lovejoy have made their own versions of artwork inspired by Eric Carle. They each painted sheets of paper, allowed them to dry and then cut them apart to create a unique collage.
