The Lovejoy High School Choirs participated in UIL competition on March 10th, with both a non-varsity and a varsity level group this year.  Both Lovejoy Concert Women's Choir and Lovejoy Varsity Choir received an overall Superior rating in Concert and Sight-reading, and both choirs received coveted Sweepstakes Trophies.  To this date, Lovejoy Choirs have never received anything less than Sweepstakes at Contest, and these students are very proud of establishing this tradition.

At the UIL Concert and Sight-reading Contest, with a majority of Superior (class 1) ratings in both concert and sight-reading from the three judges in the two competition divisions, results in a Sweepstakes Trophy.  This is the highest award given to Texas choirs by the UIL (University Interscholastic League). They performed at a very high level of artistry - Way to go Lovejoy Choirs!
