The Lovejoy Majestics Dance Team performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 27.  This prestigious honor was awarded to individual team members by Laura Davis, Event Producer of Mike Miller and Associates Special Events.  The girls performed with over 400 other dancers from across the nation as part of the exclusive Mike Miller Dance Group.

“I was very excited to hear from Laura,” remarked Majestics Director Fela Lowrance.  “What an honor to be invited!  Usually the ‘best teams’ are extended invitations through various dance camp companies.  I never imagined my team would be considered as they are still young with respect to other drill teams, so I am thoroughly excited about this opportunity to be in the Parade.  The girls have worked hard and more than earned this very special moment.  It is an amazing experience to dance on Broadway!”

The Majestics departed Dallas on Saturday,  November 22, and stayed over the course of a week.  In between strict rehearsals, the Majestics saw the Radio City Rockettes, attended a production of In the Heights, shopped on 5th Avenue, did some sight-seeing and of course, were a part of the 150 year celebration of Macy's.  A special addition to their trip was to be in the studio audience on Good Morning America on Tuesday, November 25, and they appeared on TV during a weather segment.
