On January 10, at Richardson High School, Nicole Linderman became the first Lovejoy High School student to make the All-State Band!! What makes this accomplishment even more significant is that Nicole is a Sophomore and elected to compete against 5A Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. This is significant due to the fact the Lovejoy High School (located in Lucas, Texas) is a 3A school, and therefore, Nicole chose to compete against larger school districts to gain this honor!

About the Geography Club at Hart, by Mr. Preheim:
In the field of education, there has been a concentrated effort to expand the horizons of the U.S. students in the academic fields, as well as those in athletics.
Due to this, I knew that my great interest in the academic field of Geography was not shared by many students because Geography was not being stressed in most classrooms.
When I came to Lovejoy ISD, I was encouraged to explore some options for creating a venue to offer Geography studies outside of the regular classroom setting.

Many local students from the Lovejoy schools represented the district in a grand way at the Allen Lovejoy Council of PTAs. We had a record breaking amount of entires and winners that will go on to represent the council at the state level.
Reflections program is designed to enhance a quality arts education and provides students an opportunity to express themselves and to receive positive recognition for their artistic efforts. The Texas Reflections program has the most participation of any PTA program with entries totaling over 75,000 across the state. Students in preschool through grade 12 are encouraged to create and submit works of art in six areas: literature, musical composition, photography, the visual arts, dance choreography, and film/video. In its more than 30 year history, the program has encouraged millions of students across the nation and in American schools overseas to create works of art.
