IMG_2236 On February 15, Grady Wells won the regional free throw championship sponsored by the Texas State Council of the Knights of Columbus at Bishop Dunne High School in Dallas.  Grady will now compete in the 10-year-old division in the state championship on March 7 in San Antonio, representing the north Texas region.

Grady and his family are members of St. Jude Parish in Allen, Texas.  The annual contest is open to 10 - 14 year-old boys and girls in the city regardless of their religious affiliation.  In late January, Grady took top honors at St. Jude with 14 out of 15 baskets.  On February 14, he competed in the District competition hitting 19 of 25 buckets.  The following day, it took 19 out of 25 baskets again to take home the top medal.

"Grady waited three years to be old enough to compete, so we are thrilled for him and his accomplishment," said proud Mom, Robbin Wells.  "It is a good example of how practice can help you reach your goals."
