Heidi Zettl, Lovejoy Elementary 5^th grader , was nominated and accepted to the Lone Star Leadership Academy.  See the attached press release.  This is a great honor and she is very excited about attending the program this coming summer.

Heidi Zettl, has been selected to attend based on her outstanding academic success, leadership ability, and her school and community activities.  She was honored to receive a recommendation by, her teacher, Penny Meyer, Lovejoy Elementary GT Math. At the week long residential camp, hosted by Education in Action, Heidi will join a delegation of outstanding students from across the state of Texas developing their leadership skills while having a lot of fun.  She will learn about future career and internship opportunities and visit numerous significant Texas sites such as the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing.  The Lone Star Leadership Academy provides unique opportunities for outstanding 5th-8th grade students to lean about the Spirit of Texas while calling on participants to become active citizens and leaders in their communities
