On Thursday, November 12, fifty Sloan Creek Middle School students were honored with the prestigious Leopard Leadership award.  Each semester Sloan Creek teachers recognize those students who go above and beyond in the classroom.  These students do ordinary things with extraordinary consistency and quality. The Leopard Leadership students have their work turned in on time-every time; they ask good questions, and help out with group work and the facilitation of other students during the school day. 

Mr. Goodrich honored the students with awards and read the quotes from the teacher’s who selected the students for the awards

While Sloan Creek has many students who get recognition in athletics, band, choir, orchestra, drama, academic UIL, Chess, etc., there is a need to recognize the students who come to the classrooms everyday and excel above and beyond their peers.

The Leopard Leadership award is only given out two times a year, and it is limited to a very small percent of students. The students receiving the award are the best of the best at Sloan Creek Middle School.

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.

Lovejoy is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and residents of all ages. This is a web site by and for our community. There are so many good things happening in this community on a daily basis that we had to dedicate a whole web site to showcase them.
