The 7^th grade Leopard Volleyball teams wrapped up their district play against the Ford Mustangs.  Dominating the match, the Silver Squad defeated Ford 25-11 and 25-13.  Outstanding serving efforts of Grace Kuang (17 points with 3 aces) and Kamie Lloyd’s 15 straight serves sealed the victory for the Leopards.  Consistent teamwork and serving proved the winning combination for the Silver Squad who finished with a district record of 8-1.  Players of the Week are Kamie Lloyd and Katelyn Kaya.

In the second match of the evening, the Black Squad suffered serving difficulties, and despite some strong rallies, fell just short of victory 24-26 and 21-25.  Sarah Luckey’s 9 serves and 1 ace sparked a comeback in the first game, but it was not quite enough to make up the deficit.  In the second game, the Leopard’s offense worked hard but couldn’t quite pull out the win.  The Black Squad finished district play with a 6 and 3 record.  Players of the Week are Madison Pool and Sarah Luckey.

The Red Squad got off to a slow start and lost their first game 16-25.  Finally finding their rhythm, the Leopards led by the serving of Danielle Brochu (6 points) and Grace Berrett (12 points) completely dominated the game 25-6.  In the final game of the match, Emmaline Stockton (4 points) and Heather Bittlestone (8 points) kept  the serving  momentum going.  Strong attacks at the net by Chandler Durow, Grace Berrett, Anna Claire Goodroe,  McKenna Beene, and Danielle Brochu combined with tough defensive play of Stephanie Cunningham, and Hannah Field sealed the victory 25-6.  The Red Squad finished district with a 8 and 1 record.  They will compete this Saturday in the District Tournament at McMillan.  Players of the Week are Grace Berrett and Anna Claire Goodroe.
