Leopard Lacrosse Teams Played Murphy for Season Opener

Leopard Lacrosse played their opening games this past weekend in Murphy.  The 7/8 team played first in the morning.  While we held our own in the first half, we weren’t so lucky the second half. We lost the game, but gained valuable experience for our new players.

The 5/6 team played in the afternoon and had a great showing.  We won 3 – 2 with one of our points scored a new player, Austin Henning! The boys looked good, worked well as a team and gave it their all.

Our home opening games scheduled for Sunday were canceled due to the field conditions.  This weekend, we play away games both Saturday and Sunday.

game_pic Leopard Lacrosse won its first home game Saturday! Our 5/6 team defeated Flower Mound Force by a score of 6 – 2.  Our first goal came in the first minute of the game.

Max Bevan, our assistant coach, filled in for Coach Wang and did an outstanding job!  After the game, Max said, “All the boys played really great. It’s amazing that a team playing together its first year were able to force the mercy rule!”  Our record is now 3 wins and 1 loss.

First Leopard Lacrosse Home Game this Saturday! PDF Print E-mail

Come out and cheer on your 5th/6th grade Leopard Lacrosse team this Saturday.  We are hosting our first home game vs. Flower Mound @ 11 a.m. @ SCMS’s lacrosse field (formally the football field!)

Max Bevan, our assistant coach, will be making his head coaching debut!  Our team is off to a great start with 2 wins and only one loss.

If you’ve never seen a lacrosse game, this is a great opportunity to see what all the excitement is about and why lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in America!

*in the event of heavy rains the night before or day of, the game will be canceled.

The Leopard Lacrosse Club will host its season opener on Sunday, February 21st!

The boys 5/6 team will play Coppell at 2 p.m. and the 7/8 team will play at 4 p.m.  Wear spirit wear or black to show your support! Both games will be held at Sloan Creek Middle School.

Tim Gilbert, Vice President of Leopard Lacrosse said, “It’s been 10 months since we started with the idea of forming our own club team for our boys and finally, it’s here!”  Come out to support the teams, see what all the excitement is about and why lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in America!

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.
