Lovejoy High School head football coach Jim Bob Puckett has been named All-Collin County Coach of the Year.  Matt Berryman, Nate Krumeri, Eddie Pusckarich and Blake Westback were also named best of Collin County 2009.  Please visit the Allen American for the full article.

Congratulations to Coach Puckett again.  He was additionally named Coach of the Year in the 2009 TOC DFW Class 3A.  Further congratulations go to Drew Carson who was named 2009 TOC DFW Class 3A All Area first team offense OL and to  Michael Means named 1st team offense athlete.  Michael also was named 2009 TOC DFW Class 3A All State 2nd team offense athlete.  We are excited to see our coach and boys honored for their great season.

Lovejoy named Region II Champions over Prosper
 
The Lovejoy Leopards scored 21 unanswered points in the second half on their way to a Region II Championship and a spot in the state 3A semi-finals next Saturday in Waco.  Widely considered underdogs in each of their postseason games, the Leopards had their work cut out for them against 11-1 defending state champion Prosper, Saturday night. But it was Lovejoy’s fledgling varsity program that hoisted the trophy as they walked off the field with a 24-14 victory.

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.
