Coaches versus Cancer–Leopard basketball raises $4200 PDF Print E-mail

The Lovejoy boys and girls basketball teams participated in their annual Shoot A-Thon.  The kids shot 100 free throws at practice and received dollar pledge amounts based on the number of shots they made.  One-third of all the money earned went to the American Cancer Society.

In honor of the event, the coaches from both the girls and boys programs wore tennis shoes at the Emory Rains game to commemorate the occasion.

The girls raised $2500 this year and the boys raised $1700.  In total, the programs have combined to raise over $12,000 the last four years.

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.
