Lovejoy welcomes Frisco Lone Star and Prosper to Leopard Territory
The UIL has posted the new district alignments for 2010 - 2012 school years and Lovejoy has some new names in its district.  Lovejoy is still in Region 2 but is now in District 11, which includes Farmersville, Frisco Lone Star, Lovejoy, Nevada Community, Princeton and Prosper.
Frisco's newest high school, Frisco Lone Star will open in 2010 with 9th and 10th graders and is the sixth high school in Frisco. Lone Star will see the majority of their students come from Wakeland High School and the northwestern portion of Frisco.
Most Lovejoy fans are familiar with the Prosper Eagles, as they have battled Celina and Argyle for top honors in their district in football and basketball.  For 2009, Prosper finished 11-2 overall and 4-1 in football district play. Lovejoy advanced to the football semi-finals by defeating Prosper 24-14.
In basketball, Prosper currently leads their district 7-0 and is 31-2 overall with a number 4 ranking in 3A for the greater D/FW area, according to HSGAMETIME.

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.
