Good morning, Lovejoy Families,
A reminder that we do have a 12:00 dismissal tomorrow. Teachers will use this time to plan quality lessons for our children for the next seven weeks. It’s difficult to believe we have such little time left with our children for the 2009 – 2010 school year. Our time together has been productive but has gone by much too quickly. It is true that the older one gets, the faster the time flies!
Spring Picture Order Forms
Spring picture order forms and money are due and will be dropped in the mail tomorrow. If you are interested in purchasing your child’s spring pictures, envelopes may be left at the desk or may be turned in to your child’s teacher.
Majestics Dance Team presents "Love That Red" April 15-17(BEGINS TONIGHT)
The LHS Majestics annual spring dance show is April 15-17 at 7 p.m. each night in the LHS auditorium. The show features the Majestics in several dance numbers including all competition pieces. Every dance number ties to the color red. In addition to the dancers, The Majestics will share the stage with the MANjestics, jazz band, A Capella choir, Spotlight choir (Saturday night only), singer Maddy Neill, and many other talented high school students. Kyle Karnuta and Elizabeth Gienger move the program along one final time as our zany emcees! You won't want to miss the show this year! Tickets are on pre-sale NOW at the LHS school store or via online ticketing http://lhshome.lovejoyisd.net/OnlineCallBox.html Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for K-12 students. Buy early because all tickets will be $15/adults and $10/students at the door. We look forward to seeing you at LOVE THAT RED!
On-line Registration Is Open for the Lovejoy Country Run
The Lovejoy Country Run 5K race and 1K fun run is set for May 15. On-line registration is now open at www.LukesLocker.com. This is the fourth year for the event, and the number of runners will reach over 1,000 this year. Proceeds are split between the 13 athletic booster clubs at LHS. Young runners have a great time running the 1K fun run on the school track and running through the inflatable leopard head used at varsity football games. All ages compete for trophies and medals on the certified 5K race course which runs up
Rock Ridge Road. As always, the pancake breakfast, bounce houses, face painting, and live band "Beat Red" make for a festive morning. Don't miss the fun. Check out our website and photos at www.TheLovejoyCountryRun.org.
Denim and Diamonds
A reminder that the Denim and Diamonds on-line auction deadline is nearing. The last day for placing a bid is Sunday, April 18th. You may visit www.foundationforlovejoyschools.org to place a bid for items such as private lessons from a baseball coach, Wii parties, principal for the day, a pizza party with me on the roof of Lovejoy Elementary, specialized parking, a custom senior parking place, an ice cream party, etc. What fun for our Leopards!
