Puster Principal Message

April 30, 2010

Good afternoon!

PUSTER ELEMENTARY NEWS

Six Flags Reading Club

If your child participated in the Six Flags Reading Club the tickets will be sent home in the Thursday folder next week - May 6th.  Please be sure to look for them.  We do not receive any extra tickets!  Thanks!!

Roof Top Picture

On May 7 at 8:30 a.m.  we will be once again getting a picture taken from the roof top of all students and staff at Puster.  The picture from last year is hanging in the hallway going to the cafeteria.  We are going to keep the tradition going! Each grade level will wear a specific colored t-shirt:

Kindergarten – White

1st grade – Red

2nd grade – Yellow

3rd grade – Blue

4th grade – Green

5th grade – Black

Students Riding Home with Friends

There have been several instances lately regarding students getting off the bus with friends at a stop other than their own (when they are registered for the same bus).  The school bus driver policy book states that a driver is NOT to allow a student to get off at a location other than the student’s drop off point.  But, if parents write a note to the driver with specific instructions, they will allow the student to get off the bus at a different location.  However, when a student wants to ride a bus other than their registered bus, the parent will need to contact the transportation department.  Thanks for helping us make sure we keep our kids safe!

Puster Rough Riders Night

Mark your calendar for May 14th as we hope you will be joining us at the Dr. Pepper Ballpark for the Frisco Rough Riders vs. Corpus Christi Hooks.  Tickets are $20 which includes the entrance into the game, a limited edition Roughriders hat, all you can eat food and drink, and a program.  Also, a portion of the proceeds goes back to our school.  Tickets are still available!  For more information, contact Stefani Harrison @ This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. About This Site

So much can be said in a name. In our case, our name says it all. First and foremost, this web site is a labor of love by a group of parents to celebrate the school district that is the heart of our community.

Lovejoy is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents and residents of all ages. This is a web site by and for our community. There are so many good things happening in this community on a daily basis that we had to dedicate a whole web site to showcase them.

We hope this web site will be a source of inspiration, and we invite all of you to share the love that is Lovejoy!
